There is no place like home
I have always been the type that moves every few years, but next month it will be 5 years since we bought our house in Fallbrook and 7 years since we moved here from New York City. This is the longest that we have ever lived in the same house and this is the only house that my son has ever known. Let me just say, that I love our house and our property, but lately I have been craving a change of scenery-possibly a new house a new community-something...anything...just for the heck of it.
Now that I have kids it isnt as easy to just pick up and move. Besides, being a Realtor in Fallbrook takes commitment to the community, so moving is really not the best option for us, but still, I kept dreaming.
We decided to go to Seattle for the weekend-visit some friends, eat good food and experience a new city.
We had gorgeous weather Friday and Saturday...blue skies, bright sun, warm breeze-who wouldn't want to live there I kept thinking??? The views across Puget Sound were incredible with the tall trees and ferry boats in the water. I kept thinking that I could move-that I could live there. Thankfully, the locals kept reminding me that it wasn't usually this nice. Then on Sunday reality hit! We woke up to the true Seattle....drizzle, mid 50's, rain, overcast. Phew.....good thing I got to see that! I will not be packing up my house and moving my family to the Pacific Northwest. I happily boarded my plane back home to San Diego last night and woke up to 70 degrees and sunny. I love it here!
This is truly the BEST place in the country.

Short Sale Expert!
I am officially a short sale expert! I have closed my first short sale listing! There was a time that I would have turned down a short sale listing or shyed away from short sales altogether. However, as the local market becomes more and more saturated with these types of sales it is important as a Realtor to provide my clients the valuable service of understanding the short sale process and be able to negotiate their interests on behalf of the bank. For those of you that aren't clear on the difference between a short sale and an REO, a short sale is when a loan on the property is greater than the home is worth and the seller needs bank approval on the debt to sell their property at market value. This can be a time consuming and detailed process, but in the end it is very satisfying because the buyer is getting a great deal and the seller has been able to sell his house in a decling market.
Either buying or selling and interested in short sales please let me know and I can guide you through the process.
